Case Study
De Musson supported the RAK Art Foundation in the early stages of developing a curatorial approach for its significant collection, founded by Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. Our role was to provide insight into the collection’s strengths and explore ways to enhance its visibility, both locally and internationally.
Working closely with the Foundation, we conducted an initial review of the collection, identifying thematic narratives that could shape future exhibitions and engagement. We also advised on strategies for digital archiving and presentation, ensuring the collection could be more effectively shared with a wider audience over time.
This early curatorial work helped lay the groundwork for the Foundation’s future direction, reinforcing its potential as a key platform for contemporary art in Bahrain. Our recommendations provided a foundation for ongoing curatorial development, positioning the collection for further growth and collaboration.
